No love for the vegetable juicer?

Fruit juices seem to get all the publicity, but the underrated world of vegetable juices seen to go unnoticed at times. Orange juice, apple juice and grape juice seem to overshadow tomato juice and carrot juice to a significant degree and this is unfortunate as most fruit juices are not always the best things to drink.

Processed fruit juices that are sold in stores are generally a fast way to get real fat because they are LOADED with sugar and missing a ton of vitamins and minerals that are found in the relative fruits when they are in their natural form. And, honestly, most commercial vegetable juices are not that much better.

When one uses a juicer to make fruit juice, one is getting a healthier version than the store bought version, but one is also still ingested a great deal of sugar. Granted, the sugar is natural sugar, but it is still minus the pulp that fills one up. So, it is a great deal of sugar and calories delivered to the system with nothing to make one full to balance out the huge calorie intake.

Vegetables are not the sugar source to the degree of fruits and a vegetable juicer can make a safer, lower calorie alternative to all those sugary fruit drinks. A decent vegetable juicer will make a variety of juices from an unending source of vegetables.

Investing in a vegetable juicer also provides for an easy, quick way to deliver all the nutrients found in vegetables in a manner that is commensurate with someone who is one the go a lot. Pouring vegetable juice into a coffee thermos allows one to enjoy the benefits of a vegetable throughout the day without the hassles of traveling around with a ton of vegetables in one’s pockets. Or something like that.

So, maybe there is love for the vegetable juicer after all.
